Conceived under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Rann Utsav-The Tent City was born from a vision to showcase the soulful richness of Gujarat’s remotest frontier, the Great Rann of Kutch. What began as a modest three-day cultural festival has, over the years, transformed into one of India’s most iconic travel experiences and a global calendar event.
Every year, from November to February, the endless white salt desert, often referred to as the Moonland of Gujarat, transforms into a vibrant, luxury township comprising premium tents and suites. The Rann of Kutch Festival usually starts in late October or early November and continues until February. This Year Rann of Kutch opening dates are: 23rd October 2025 to 4th March 2026.

This itinerary typically includes visits to iconic sites like the White Rann at sunset and sunrise, Kala Dungar, Mandvi Beach, Vijay Vilas Palace and more. To reach Rann Utsav–The Tent City, you first need to arrive at Bhuj, which is well-connected by rail and air. From Bhuj, complimentary AC coach transfers are provided to Tent City at scheduled times from both Bhuj Railway Station and Bhuj Airport. These transfers are part of your package, so it’s recommended to coordinate your arrival with the transfer timings at the time of booking for a smooth and hassle-free journey.
Guests can enjoy a mix of authentic Kutchi cuisine and multi-cuisine offerings at the Tent City. The menu is curated to suit diverse palates, with hygienic buffet meals served in spacious dining halls, including vegetarian and Jain-friendly options.
