Apart from the mesmerising White Rann, here are some of the iconic places to explore in and around the tent city: Kalo Dungar (Black Hill): Known as the highest point in Kutch, Kalo Dungar provides a panoramic view of the vast expanse of the Rann. The hill is also home to the Dattatreya temple, which has a fascinating legend associated with it. Local Artisan Villages: Kutch is renowned for its rich tradition of handicrafts. Villages like Bhujodi, Nirona, and Ajrakhpur are hubs for traditional arts such as weaving, bell-making, and block printing. Visitors can interact with artisans, witness the making of these crafts, and even purchase them as souvenirs. Visits to Bhujodi and Gandhi nu Gam are included in our package. Mandvi Beach: Located approximately 2 hours away from the tent city, Mandvi Beach is a serene coastal area known for its clean sands and clear waters. The beach is perfect for a relaxing evening, and visitors can indulge in camel rides or simply enjoy the sunset. Vijay Vilas Palace: Situated near Mandvi Beach, this palace stands as a testament to the royal lineage of Kutch. With its beautiful architecture, well-maintained gardens, and a private beach, the palace offers a glimpse into the regal lifestyle of yesteryears. It has also been a shooting location for several Bollywood films. Dholavira: An ancient Indus Valley Civilization site, Dholavira offers insights into one of the world's oldest urban centres. Located on the Khadir island of Kutch, the archaeological ruins encompass reservoirs, step wells, and ancient scripts, providing a deep dive into the region's historical significance. Smriti Van: A unique earthquake memorial located near Bhuj, Smriti Van pays tribute to the lives lost in the devastating 2001 earthquake. The park is dotted with plaques and installations, each telling a story of resilience and hope in the aftermath of the tragedy. Shri Shyamji Krishna Memorial: It is a memorial dedicated to Shri Shyamji Krishna Varma from London, who built India House, a hideout for Indian freedom fighters in London.
